Really disliked the narrator. Made the main characters sound so dull and emotionless, says it’s a horror but it isn’t. Mystery was decent but storyline was messy.

The changing of voice was distracting. I miss the voice from Rockton stories. This one needs a different voice actor.

I really enjoy this author. On her Facebook, she warned that this book is not like many of her other books. rather, she said it was more of a horror story.

Having read it, I would say that it fits in the young adult / thriller genre. I mentioned this since Audible did not do a great job of categorizing it.

I found the book easy to get through. I finished it within a day. the story was interesting.

I liked the narrator in general, and she has a bit of a lisp, which might be irritating for some people. the reason I didn't find it irritating was because I felt that it fit the young adult character.

If you are a fan of Kelley Armstrong, you will probably like this book. if you enjoy young adult novels that are page turners, and suspenseful, you will probably enjoy this.

I almost didn't get the book because the author said that it was more of a horror story, and I don't really like horror stories. however, I did not find it to be horrifying in the traditional ways. but I mean is there wasn't a huge amount of gore, and the violence was appropriate to the story.

I recommend this novel for a diverting read.

Loved the story but the narrator not so much, the voices for some of the characters where not a good fit and that made it harder to follow the story line.
