Knowledge is power. That would be the motto of Lander University, had it not been snatched up and used to death by others long before the school was founded. For while Lander offers a full range of courses to nearly all students, it also offers a small number of specialty classes to a very select few. Lander is home to the Hero Certification Program, a curriculum designed to develop students with superhuman capabilities, commonly known as Supers, into official Heroes. Five of this year's freshmen are extra special. They have a secret aside from their abilities - one that they must guard from even their classmates.
For every one person in the world with abilities they can control, there are three who lack such skill. These lesser super beings - Powereds, as they are called - have always been treated as burdens and second-class citizens. Though there has been ample research in the area, no one has ever succeeded in turning a Powered into a regular human, let alone a Super.
That is, until now....

Great Overall
Loved it. Reminds me of My Hero Academia in America with a little of Harry Potter. Performance great except the narration voice is a little monotone so I fell asleep at times.

Best Series
This is hands down the best series I’ve ever read. The character development is amazing and throughout the series I’ve cried about decisions and fallen in love with all of them. 10/10 recommend this series, I’ve read the series twice and listened to it another two times because I love it all so much.

Amazing series!
I've listened to this series so many times. My rating is really for the entire series, not just book 1. Book 1 is really good, but the depth of character building and world-building in the entire series is what truly set it apart. The number of threads later books pull on which show up here is also remarkable. This series is best for readers who like training arcs, character exploration, and indepth power systems. This narrator is best if you like emotion in your readings and being able to tell the characters apart by voice. There are a few that aren't that easy to tell apart, but context clues quickly tell you who it is in those instances.

Fun read
Oddly enough, the most unrealistic aspect about a college for superheroes is how successful the local video store seems to be.

Pretty good start
I had a good time with Super Powereds Year 1. It comes off a lot like Gen V but written years before and less violent. The audio narration was good and I like the world building.
It's a strong 4 stars and I will continue with the series. Hopefully the next instalment is a bit more exciting.

Great Series
I listened to all 4 books in this series. They were really captivating. The narrator was really good. He did different voices for each character. The story was interesting, with good character development.

Great entertainment
This is really well written and narrated. First of the series, this book introduces five 18-year-olds with super powers who are off to college to become heroes. There’s battles and bullies, intrigue and romance, luck and The Force. The characters are brilliant! The narrator does a good job of differentiation each voice, which is quite the feat with this large cast.

Wow!
I will admit, I watched most of MHA before discovering this series. It made me enjoy it more as it felt very familiar, and made me empathize with the main characters faster. Can't wait to get the entire series!
