Captivating story
The story was so real and captivating. Beautifully written and the narration was perfect. Absolutely one of the best books Ive ever read

No punches pulled
Wow- what an intense story. I can’t even imagine how a life can turn like this. I found it agonizing to listen to at times, but other times the hope and Perseverance were inspiring. I was thinking about this book after listening- it was certainly one to think about. My one criticism would be that the narrator should have been a woman for the Dr.Patel and Emily chapters.

Heart-wretching
This one will stay with me for a long time. Absolutely heart-wrenching plot about human suffering and the unfairness of existence. In my opinion, one of the best novels from Wally Lamb . A number of similarities to his classic "I Know this Much is True." The narrator was top notch and perfectly matched for this novel.
