À propos de cet audio

From New York Times best-selling author Brent Weeks comes the first novel in his breakout fantasy trilogy in which a young boy trains under the city's most legendary and feared assassin, Durzo Blint.

For Durzo Blint, assassination is an art - and he is the city's most accomplished artist.

For Azoth, survival is precarious. Something you never take for granted. As a guild rat, he's grown up in the slums, and learned to judge people quickly - and to take risks. Risks like apprenticing himself to Durzo Blint.

But to be accepted, Azoth must turn his back on his old life and embrace a new identity and name. As Kylar Stern, he must learn to navigate the assassins' world of dangerous politics and strange magics - and cultivate a flair for death.

Narrated by: Andy Clemence, Casie Platt, Christopher Graybill, Colleen Delany, David Coyne, Dylan Lynch, Elizabeth Jernigan, Eric Messner, James Konicek, James Lewis, Joe Brack, Johann Dettweiler, Ken Jackson, Michael Glenn, Ren Casey, Richard Rohan, Sunny Lasskey, Terence Aselford, Thomas Penny, Tim Getman

Actor for azoth is too old is all. Some of the music is a bit too loud

Only gripe azoth is too old.

I absolutely loved this book when I read it and the story is still a master work, but this versions sound engineering sucks. Moaning and crying and horses drowning out the actually important stuff the narrator is saying really detracts from the experience.

Narration is far too quiet.

The voice acting was phenominal, as was the battle scenes/noises etc.

I havnt been able to find the time or the patience yo read and being able to hear it played out as a movie has changed my life and gotten me back into fantasy.

It reminded me of those old school radio plays but amped up to an 11.

Now add that all together with a great writer and story from Brent Weeks?

Just finished the trilogy and first thing i did was search dramatized adapations to find another!

Graphic Audio for the win!

one thing I love about the dramatized version, the voice actors help me visualize the characters within the story, at times the background effects can take away from the narration but I'm ok with that, it also adds to the story.

Great book

i love the night angel trilogy and this is an AMAZING adaptation. However the background music can get a little too loud at times. i also feel that Kylar, and Logans roles were miscast. Both are 20 year old men who sound over 40. It just breaks the immersion a bit. Aside from that it was incredible. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking to read the night angel books, you will not find a better version anywhere, the music and sound effects although sometimes loud really bring this to a whole new level

Amazing but a bit loud

It was a very entertaining book with a good pace. Though the story did seem to jump around a little bit near the end. It would take a second to realize which arc you were currently listening too. Other than that a great listen!

very captivating

Love the story, love the characters, love the actors. Just need better audio balance between voices and background effects. Was a little hard to hear at times.

Grand experience for my first audio book

First I love Graphic Audio, sound effects help story's. This story has so many dark turns, it may leave you guessing till the end. I will be buying the rest of book to see what happens.

Storyline is obviously great. Reading is clear and concise, but all the background noises during fights and obnoxious. Sometimes swords fights are taking over the reading part and are simply incomprehensible. I was excited at first with the addition of the background noises, making the book more enjoyable to listen.
I even listened to the 5min preview, but there was no scene in the preview that demonstrated how bad & loud it actually gets.
I've read this book multiple times, and this ruined it for me.
I will never get an audiobook with Graphic Audio ever again. It's not worth it

Background noises are annoying

While Brent Weeks tells an amazing story here it is unfortunately ruined by the performance. The narrator does a great job and the cast is pretty good but a lot gets lost to everything else. The soundtrack and background sounds often overpower the narrator and much of the story gets lost in the noise.

Could have been better
