This leaves parents wondering: What did people do before diapers? And how do I help my own baby out of diapers sooner? With this audiobook, new parents can avoid years of messy diapers, potty training struggles, diaper rash, and unexplained fussiness.

The secret behind France's astonishingly well-behaved children is here. When American journalist Pamela Druckerman has a baby in Paris, she doesn't aspire to become a "French parent". French parenting isn't a known thing, like French fashion or French cheese. Even French parents themselves insist they aren't doing anything special. Greer Kirshenbaum, PhD. is a neuroscientist, doula, and parent. Her work began with the goal of developing new treatments for poor mental health; she dreamed of creating a new medication to address conditions like anxiety, depression, addiction, and chronic stress. Over time, she realized that science had already uncovered a powerful medicine for alleviating mental health struggles, but the answer wasn’t a pill. It was a preventative approach: when babies receive nurturing care in the first three years of life, it builds strong, resilient brains.

I feel much more prepared to breastfeed.
this book gives lots of advice about breast feeding and also parenting in general. And its actually not that bad of a listen as technical as some of the advice can be. the narrator does a great job of keeping you engaged.

Fear mongering “breast feeding is the only way”
I read this for baby number two because breast feeding did not go well the first time as I was so anxious to do anything other than exclusively breast feed.
This book, while it has some helpful tips, further makes you feel like breast feeding is the only way to do it and I can imagine make you feel more anxious if it doesn’t work out. It does not normalize any other type of feeding support and only highlights what is wrong with other types of support.
The best take away from this book is to get a board certified LC to help you navigate your experience.

Table of Contents
The lack of table of contents is an issue, especially in a book like this where the content may be more relevant after certain experiences. Highly suggest adding details.
Also surprised by the lack of breastfeeding after C-section help. I listened to the book cover to cover, but am wondering if I just missed it? Also another reason the table of contents would be very helpful....
