 In the debut episode of Biodiversity: Behind the Buzzword, we dive into the complex issue of
invasive species and their impact on biodiversity loss. Using the blue crab invasion in the
Venice Lagoon as a case study, we examine how a single species can disrupt an entire
ecosystem. Along the way, we invite listeners to reflect on how we assign value to
nature—and how that perspective shapes our response to environmental challenges.
