Use language meaningfully. Embed targets into every day, natural moments to support true comprehension. Let the child show you. Let’s not pre-judge ability—observe how your child responds to know what’s too hard or just right. Context matters. What seems difficult may be easier when used meaningfully in familiar, relatable situations. Use Sabotage strategically. This AV technique makes the use of spoken language meaningful by creating genuine need and engagement. Refresh vocabulary. Once a word or concept is understood, try synonyms or new contexts to keep listening sharp. Change fosters growth. Variation keeps the child’s brain alert and learning active. Communication is a need. The desire to share is what keeps listening, attention, and language development alive. Make learning joyful. Listening and learning is fun—so is time spent together. Children who enjoy learning thrive. Stay in the moment. AVT is about being present—physically, mentally, emotionally, cognitively, and verbally. It becomes a way of life.
