As believers in Christ in the times we’re living in, it’s important that we don’t only view our purpose and calling as a dope career opportunity, but that we look beyond ourselves and see what God wants to do in the Earth through the gifts and talents He’s trusted us with.     As artists trying to break into the industry it’s not uncommon that we are presented with the choice to compromise our belief system in exchange for a chance at success. We may want to attain God’s promise our way instead of waiting on His perfect plan to unfold in His perfect timing. When this happens we end up serving things that are not of God, but the Bible makes it clear: we can’t serve two masters.

    It feels good when people tells us we’re great at what we do. God wants us to shine the light He put inside of us but we shouldn’t have to go out of our way to do so. We don’t have to. God affirms us in His word so why seek validation from people?
