À propos de cet audio

And Away We Go F1 Podcast goes beyond the track limits to talk about Formula 1, travel, food and lifestyle of F1 destinations.

Hosted by Dianne Bortoletto a pre-Drive to Survive (D2S) F1 fan, and Monique Ceccato, a post-D2S fan. In each episode, they recap the race, unpack F1 rumours, hold thought-provoking discussions, interview interesting people, and chat about the lifestyle surrounding the world’s greatest sport, including travel, food and, if Lewis’ outfit warrants it, fashion.

Although they’re separated by 14,000 kilometres—Di in Margaret River in southwest Western Australia and Monique in Norway—F1 brought them close together. Since discovering they both live to hear the words “Lights out and away we go!” they’ve been blowing up each others’ inboxes with facts, opinions, and rumours every race weekend. When messages escalated to long voice memos, the idea for And Away We Go F1 Podcast was born.

As travel writers and food lovers, Di and Mon bring a new perspective to Formula 1, going beyond the track limits to share the places, people and cuisine of each F1 host destination with listeners.

Thanks for listening. Until lights out....

  • Ep44: For aspiring F1 Journalists, Reilly Sullivan shares how he got his big break into Formula 1
    Sep 15 2025

What is the one question you would ask an F1 driver if you were interviewing them for a story? Nico Hulkenberg, Jack Doohan, Zhou Guanyu and Gabriel Bortoleto have all been interviewed by lifestyle reporter and F1 journalist Reilly Sullivan, who is our special guest on this week’s episode.

Any aspiring F1 journalists out there, this episode is for you - Riley gives some tips on how to become a F1 journalist, with Di and Mon chiming in, drawing on their experience as journalists.

Reilly has theories about Jack Doohan’s future that he shares and we chat about Cadillac and their driver line up.

Riley shares stories about how he got his big break in Formula 1, what it was like interviewing the drivers and what it was like to be a part of the paddock at Singapore, Qatar and Melbourne. Di also puts him on the spot asking for his 1-2-3 predictions for Baku next week.

You can follow Reilly Sullivan on Instagram @reillyjosephsullivan and see his work on his website www.reillysullivan.com/f1

  • Ep43: Mamma mia... Monza was quite the race!
    Sep 8 2025

We thought last week's DNF at the Dutch Grand Prix was quite the talking point, but it seems it was just the warm-up for this week. Yet again, we've got plenty of Maclaren happenings to talk about. But that gossip isn't to be outdone by Stefano Domenicali's outrageous claims, or news of what Daniel Ricciardo is up to next.

And, if you've got a touch of Italophilia, stick around until the end for discussions about Monza, Milano, and some of the most delicious regional meals you can find there.

  • Ep42: Flags, Failures and Firsts, the Dutch Grand Prix has changed the game
    Sep 1 2025

The Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort certainly delivered a thrilling race. As Monique describes it, flags, failures and firsts. From the high of all highs seeing Oscar Piastri extend his lead of the F1 World Drivers Championship, to the low of lows with a double DNF for Ferrari and that championship-ending mechanical failure for Lando, The Netherlands F1 Race had it all.

The home boy hero, Max Verstappen, finished second along with a first-timer on the third step, adding a mega feel-good factor to an action packed race.
