À propos de cet audio
Imagine you are dealing with a problem in your personal life and you do not want to confront the problem head-on, so you delay and run away from the issue. Left alone, it gets worse and worse and finally, it snowballs out of control...we may ask ourselves how things turned out the way they did, when we actively took steps to not handle serious conversation or we didn’t want to deal with a delicate situation, or we may have even ignored facts or critical thinking because it may have been at odds with whatever bias we may have.
Whatever the problem may be, know that doing the same thing in a work environment also has real, negative consequences, and if we avoid dealing with known problems, we then have to deal with other problems in ways that are both seen and unseen. Leaders are in a good position to actually handle problems, because they can set guidelines, expectations, and even improve employee morale and build positive company culture...but doing and not doing are choices. This episode discusses how problematic avoidance in the workplace can be!
