À propos de cet audio
The Ojibwe word Dawisijigem is often translated as "clearing space" like clearing a table to get ready for dinner, but we clear space mentally too. We clear space for Indigenous writing and story telling and what it might teach us about how to live well in this world. This episode features authors Daniel Heath Justice and January Rogers as well as readers, Joy Henderson, Robin McBurney, Neil Ellis Orts, and Ishkenikeyaa Waawaashkesh.
Editing and transcriptions done by Tiffany Hill with the generous support of Dr. Eve Tuck of the Visiting Lab in Lenapehoking. Our theme is Biindigen, an original song composed and performed by Nicole Joy Fraser
