DAMTT: Baddies, Bats and Blindspots, oui?

Ready for another dose of conversational chaos? After a brief break, Eric and Stacy return refreshed and ready to tackle the tangents. Eric recounts his adventures, from playing a gig at The Valley with Battersea (and selling another coveted T-shirt!), to kayaking with “the girlfriend” and spotting sea lions and celebrating his dad’s birthday over a fish-leaping lunch. Stacy, meanwhile, faces down two surprise bats hiding in her patio umbrella—no bueno, but plenty of guano.

The duo swaps stories about gluttonous grocery trips and cross-border sweet treats, including Stacy’s Canadian wine gums (not “gummies”—don’t worry, border guards, they’re THC-free!). That leads to a detour into UK canned cocktails, notably Eric’s preferred Harvey Wallbanger.

This week, Stacy brings a burning question to Dear Crabby about kids and cursing, while Eric’s “effing and Jeffing” in ALL CAPS with online customer service cements his “bad boy” reputation. For once, Stacy checks off a Cultural Blindspot by finally watching This is Spinal Tap—turns out it really does go to 11. Eric revisits RoboCop (which he touts as “lightning in a bottle”) and champions The Hudsucker Proxy as a criminally underrated classic.

To wrap up, Stacy and Eric ponder which third language they’d learn, after English and high school choices. Eric abandoned Japanese when his linguistic partner abandoned him, while Stacy dreams of French—just to deliver a little rudeness back. DAMTT is on Facebook and Instagram as @dontaskmetotalk.
