À propos de cet audio
What does it truly mean to belong? Across generations, women—especially those from historically marginalized communities—have faced systemic barriers that make belonging and access to quality healthcare an ongoing challenge.
In this episode, Bethany and Auria unpack racial identity, multiracial experiences, and the deep-rooted disparities in healthcare and mental health access. While these challenges disproportionately affect Black and native/indigenous women, the conversation also touches on wider systemic issues impacting women’s health and well-being.
Bethany shares insights from her studies on racial and ethnic health disparities, breaking down why policy reform is urgent for health equity. Auria offers her personal experience as a multiracial woman, exploring identity shifts, societal expectations, and ways to create truly inclusive spaces in healthcare and beyond.
