  • Party Favorz Presents Fall Edition 2025: Circuit Anthems HOTTER Than Your Ex!
    Sep 27 2025
Some time back, I railed against the Circuit House scene for recycling the same tired template. Too many tracks lacked originality, often missing a proper hook, while others simply forced the vocals of a classic song into a pre-used structure instead of building instrumentation around the vocal to keep its essence intact. Now, I can’t say Las Bibas From Vizcaya was responding to that criticism (probably not), but the fabulously talented producer dropped the infectious The Tribal House Is Dead — which almost felt like a cheeky swipe at me. Regardless, the track resonated with Circuit House fans, and Jace Me with Toy Armada took it to the next level with their remix. Far be it from me to ignore a great record. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4N0ZKtdCEoM With the exception of one song in the Fall Edition 2025, it seems like someone is finally listening. Suddenly, there’s a refreshing variety of styles and genres that still fit neatly under the Circuit House umbrella. Yes, you’ll hear plenty of big tribal beats, but you’ll also find Tea Dance-styled Funky House and darker progressive moments that round out the set beautifully. Variety is what makes this mix one of our favorites. Guy Scheiman’s Double Play Guy Scheiman absolutely nailed it — not once, but twice. The irony isn’t lost on me that this Israeli Jewish DJ dropped a Circuit House track in Spanish that connects instantly with Latin America. “Quiero Un Amor (I Want a Love(r)) hits all the right notes while expanding his global reach. His second entry, This Fire, is another powerhouse House track perfect for any Tea Dance or Circuit party. While it doesn’t directly sample Thelma Houston’s Disco classic Don’t Leave Me This Way, the phrasing and delivery are clearly inspired by it. You can’t help but think of the original while listening, which makes the track both familiar and fresh. Right now, Party Favorz is genuinely impressed with what Mr. Scheiman is laying down. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5VNAsK5pbY Sampling With a Twist Speaking of sampling, the recent EDM smash Together by David Guetta, Hypaton, and Bonnie Tyler got a Circuit House makeover from HenriqMoraes. This version is easily one of our favorite tracks of 2025. By weaving in lines from the early ’80s pop-drama staple Total Eclipse of the Heart, the song shifts from a love ballad to an anthem of unity that works on multiple levels. Let’s face it — no matter your age, you’d have to live under a rock not to know the original. It’s been reworked countless times since the ’90s and included in various commercials, but Henriq is the only Circuit DJ bold enough to spin it for the gay dance floor. And I need you now tonightAnd I need you more than everAnd if you only hold me tightWe'll be holding on foreverAnd we'll only be making it right'Cause we'll never be wrongTogether The Return of the Fabulous Antoinette Roberson Antoinette Roberson, best known for her vocals on The Lover That You Are from the ’90s, teams up with Dirty Disco for Sense of Danger. Mark once again proves he knows how to deliver an infectious groove that stays in your head. He even released a big-room dub that takes the track further, but since that version cut back too much on the vocal hook, we stuck with the original. What makes Jose Spinnin stand out is his veteran status in the scene. He’s one of those rare producers who instinctively knows the level of production a track needs to shine. More importantly, he has an unmatched ability to find the hook — that one element guaranteed to ignite a dancefloor. That’s why his name continues to carry weight after all these years. Disco, Funk, and Beyond For those craving deeper Disco vibes, we’ve got B.T.X. from Jose Spinnin Cortes, Luis Alvarado, Lupita Kush, and Brandon White. And if that’s not enough, Niki Haris, Donna De Lory, and Tracy Young deliver the delicious I Know You, I Live You, with Jose Spinnin on remix duty.

Since June, Party Favorz has been bringing the fire, hitting every corner of the dance music landscape to keep your days and nights charged with nonstop beats and good vibes. There's been so much dropped lately, it's time to catch our breath as we start work on the next chapter of our BackSpin series — this time focusing on the high-octane era of 2011–2012. We’ve also got a few surprises lined up for August, but we’re keeping things under wraps for now. One of the potential drops hinges on a rework of a beloved track by one of our favorite divas, and we're hoping Dirty Disco will work their magic. Mark's already shown interest, but he’s been touring hard — including a recent stint on a gay cruise — so we’re giving him the space to breathe. This one’s sacred and untouched, so it deserves the proper treatment. Will it happen? You’ll just have to stay tuned. Until the next time...ENJOY! • Gay Pride Edition 2025: FREE TO BE!
    Jun 14 2025
As Party Favorz closes out our Gay Pride series—celebrating empowerment, self-love, and freedom—I can’t ignore the direction the United States is drifting. This afternoon, Washington, D.C. will stage a grand military parade for the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday. Tanks, Black Hawk helicopters, and 6,700 soldiers will rumble down Constitution Avenue, turning what began as an anniversary salute into a made-for-TV tribute to the president on his own birthday. Meanwhile, the nation edges toward authoritarianism. Over the past week, masked ICE agents swept through Los Angeles in raids that detained scores of immigrants—many with legal status—stoking fear far beyond the undocumented community. The playbook is familiar: demonize “others,” then expand the target list. High-profile confrontations underscore how aggressively the administration punishes dissent. Federal agents forced California Senator Alex Padilla to the ground and hand-cuffed him during a press conference; he was released but not formally arrested. Newark’s mayor, Ras Baraka, was arrested after trying to inspect a new private detention center, and New Jersey Congresswoman LaMonica McIver now faces federal charges for defending him. The crackdown isn’t limited to immigration. Elite universities from Harvard on down are under investigation, broadcasters like CBS and ABC have paid steep settlements after First-Amendment-protected reporting, and law firms viewed as “too liberal” have seen security clearances yanked and federal contracts canceled. Those who complied did so under duress; those who fought back have won some courtroom victories, yet the White House often ignores rulings it dislikes, even from a generally sympathetic Supreme Court. That same Court will soon decide Kennedy v. Braidwood Management, a case that could strip away no-cost coverage for preventive care—including PrEP, cancer screenings, and birth-control prescriptions—for more than 150 million people. If the justices side with Braidwood, insurers could drop these benefits or price them out of reach—an outcome that would hit LGBTQ communities first and hardest. Our relationships, marriages, and hard-won legal protections are again on the line. While extremists ban LGBTQ books and shoehorn sectarian doctrine into public classrooms, we’re asked to trust that we won’t be next. History says otherwise. So as we celebrate Pride for the rest of June, remember what’s at stake. Martin Niemöller’s warning still echoes: First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—Because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—Because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me. Use your voice while you still can. • Gay Anthems For a New Generation 2025 Volume 1: Essentials
    Jun 6 2025
It’s that time of year again — when we queers let our hair down, crank up the volume, and celebrate our unapologetic fabulousness. Pride is here, and while the political landscape may feel unstable and our rights constantly under siege, one truth remains: the LGBTQ community will always find a way to throw a damn good party. Or, as the Scissor Sisters cheekily reminded us, “Let’s Have a Kiki.” Reimagining the Classics Originally, the plan was to freshen up this year’s edition with newer remixes of iconic gay anthems. But after diving headfirst into a sea of fanmade bootlegs — many of which ranged from barely passable to downright unlistenable — I realized that over the years, I had already assembled the best of the best. So, instead of chasing ghosts, I shifted gears and pulled together what I consider to be the most powerful, energetic, and expertly crafted versions of these beloved tracks that had already been immortalized in digital form. The Ultimate Essentials Some songs were no-brainers — standout mixes that continue to dominate queer dancefloors year after year. Others posed a challenge, with multiple excellent interpretations vying for a spot. In those cases, I went with what worked best in the mix and what kept the momentum flowing. Sadly, a few favorites didn’t make the final cut, not because they weren’t worthy, but because they didn’t quite fit this year’s energy. That’s always the hardest part — deciding what to keep and what to let go. In the end, what you’re getting is a tightly crafted experience: essential gay anthems from as far back as the '70s, reinvented with a modern edge that will hit just right for Millennials and Gen Z — and likely give Gen X and Boomers a reason to raise a glittery eyebrow and smile. These aren’t just remixes — they’re reinventions that breathe new life into songs that already had a heartbeat of their own. A Community Effort I want to give a massive shoutout to Hans, who responded to my call for suggestions with enthusiasm and insight. While I already had most of his picks in the archive, and only a couple made the final mix, his contribution helped steer the direction and is greatly appreciated. Hopefully, I did you proud, Hans. World Pride, Doctor’s Orders, and a Delayed Drop World Pride reaches its grand finale this weekend in Washington, D.C., which feels a bit off-kilter since it typically wraps up toward the end of June. I had fully intended to get these sets out much earlier, but between deep diving into remix archives and juggling an endless cycle of doctor’s appointments (check recent posts for that saga), time slipped through my fingers like glitter in a windstorm. What’s Next? Don’t worry — Volume 2 of Gay Anthems For a New Generation 2025 is scheduled to drop tomorrow morning. Expect more floor-shaking remixes, deeper cuts, and a continuation of this joyful, rebellious celebration of queer identity and liberation. If Volume 1 lights the fuse, Volume 2 brings the fireworks. So crank it up. Celebrate yourself. And remember, this isn’t just music — it’s a legacy, reborn. Until the next time...ENJOY! • Spring Into Action With the Fiercest Circuit Anthems of the Season!
    Apr 5 2025
As mentioned in yesterday’s post, Party Favorz is rolling out a double-header of new releases to get back on track with our schedule. This brings us up to speed just in time for the Spring Edition 2025. I’ll be honest—new releases have been on the lighter side lately. So, to balance the energy, I pulled in a few standout tracks from past editions to round out this set and give it some extra weight. Still Plenty of New Music to Keep the Floor Moving That doesn’t mean there’s a shortage of fire. This edition features fresh tracks and fierce remixes from some of the biggest names in pop and dance. Expect new heat from The Weeknd, Kylie Minogue, Jennifer Lopez, Tate McRae, Lola Young, and the ever-iconic Lady Gaga. One of the standout moments comes courtesy of a killer remix of Beautiful People, the latest collaboration between David Guetta and Sia. These two have a proven track record of club-ready bangers, and this one doesn’t disappoint. Taking a Beat: Upcoming Diva Hall of Fame Entry Next week, I’m planning to take a short break while working on something a bit special—a Diva Hall of Fame reboot for Adele. With the sheer volume of newer remixes that span her entire catalog, it felt like the right time to refresh her entry. Since she’s wrapped up her Las Vegas residency and likely won’t be dropping new material for a while, this gives us a solid stopping point to reflect on her evolution as both a vocalist and a dancefloor muse. I also had Celine Dion in my sights for a reboot, but that’s temporarily on hold. I’m hoping to get Dirty Disco to remix one of her biggest hits—a track that, shockingly, never received an official remix. If he takes it on, that’ll give me the green light to move forward. Recovery Update: The Not-So-Glamorous Reality I want to take a moment to thank everyone for your kind messages and support during my recovery. That said, it’s not going as smoothly—or as quickly—as I had hoped. The painkillers I’ve been prescribed are fine for regular pain, but when it comes to the debridement process (scraping off dead skin, aka those blackened areas from the wound), they’re totally useless. They’ve managed to remove a good chunk already, but it’s slow as hell. Frankly, this should’ve been done when I was in the hospital for six days under anesthesia. Instead, I’m stuck dealing with this now, awake, and under a double dose of pain meds that barely touch the surface. It still hurts like a motherfucker. What really worries me is that this is the longest I’ve ever been on opioids. Dependency is starting to feel way too real. I’m currently trying to find a doctor—though I don’t even know what kind—who can remove the remaining dead tissue under anesthesia. The areas that have been treated are healing well, so I know this is what needs to happen for proper skin regrowth. Navigating the System Alone The problem? None of the wound care specialists or even the pain doctor (who is an anesthesiologist) will recommend anyone. I’m basically on my own trying to find a solution. It really feels like they’re more invested in squeezing my insurance dry than actually helping me heal. This whole process could drag out for months. But I can’t stay on opioids that long. That opens up a whole other world of problems I don’t want to deal with. On top of that, I’m still trying to get the astronomical hospital bill covered through charity care. Everything feels like it's up in the air. Thankfully, Rick and I are debt-free. So, worst-case scenario, I might try to settle the bill and put it on a 0% interest credit card. But let’s be real—that’s not the option I want to take, especially with the size of this debt looming overhead. Keeping Things Moving, Even While Slowing Down I’ll continue to keep everyone updated as this unfolds. I wish the process would move faster, but I’m not the type to sit on my hands. I’ll do everything I can to get this resolved intelligently and efficiently.
