The is the story of Pan Am Flight 121 and the impact it made on pop culture for the next 70 years.
Pam Am Flight 121 crashed on the 18th of June 1947, one of the surviving officers risked life and limb to save as many as he could from the wreck. His name was Third Officer Gene Roddenberry. This tragedy would not only change his life but inspire him to create Star Trek and change pop culture history.
