À propos de cet audio

In the wee hours of the morning on August 10, 1993, Camden City Police responded to gun shots in the alley call in North Camden. There was a young, 40-year-old city resident, mother of two, lying face down, shot in the back with a large caliber hand gun.

There were no witnesses, there were no leads and no trace of her killer. Only a trail of nine empty shell casings in a scattered row left behind her on the ground from a 9MM gun.

Gloria Hoke was a heroin/crack addict. She paid for it with her life! But no one deserves to be…MURDERED!

That same day, in the early evening hours, cops would get a tip about a man with a gun. They find and arrest Ronald Patton, AKA Physical with the very weapon later determined to be the murder weapon. He is charged with weapons offenses and now it is time for Homicide to step in and connect the dots, or shall we say…the shell casings.

Come sit with Det. Gavel on this brilliant piece of detective work as he assumes the role of a crackhead drug addict. The idea, the plan, the approval, the tactic, the team work, the implementation, the confession, the trial, the conviction and the appeal! In this case, we made case law, State of New Jersey v. Ronald Patton.
