À propos de cet audio

The podcast tells the story of Johannes Hendrikus Jacob van den Berg, a Dutch immigrant in 1963, becoming "Harry Vanda quintessential Australian", part of The Easybeats, Australia's first internationally successful rock band to break American charts, and half of legendary songwriting/production duo Vanda & Young.

It weaves reflections on co-writing ‘Friday On My Mind’ – a song showing "what was possible" and "wasn't an easy little ditty" and re-lives the thrills of producing early AC/DC albums. With Zuel, Vanda talks about discovering and developing John Paul Young, co-writing ‘Love Is In The Air’ and the wild success of Evie (featuring Stevie Wright).

Significantly the podcast marks the first time Vanda has talked about George Young since he died. Included too are the stories around one of the most successful endeavours of Vanda and Young, their studio project Flash & The Pan.
