 Hi I am Cecilia Hadley and I’m starting this project mainly because I am a 17 years old going out into the real world after may, annnnd I think that the older generations, the very people who have already lived it all have a lot to teach us. We were just in a pandemic separated from the world and we have kind of become hermit crabs. Everyone has experienced loneliness and it is just the worst. Older people were more at risk with covid meaning they had to stay safe and in their house, many people have died, and many people were scared. Personally I didn’t even see my grandparents for a decent amount of time. I think people are disconnected, and it's time for a change. For this project I am going to be making a podcast that simply just connects people. I will interview people preferably at a retired age and learn a bit about them and see what advice they can give out to my generation. My goal is to encourage people to go out and have a conversation with their grandparents, neighbors, anyone really. It's time we look up from our phones and talk.
