Deep breathing and visualisation are powerful tools for pain relief because they help to calm the nervous system and shift focus away from pain - rewiring our pain brain.
When we practice slow, deep breaths, we signal to the brain that we are safe, which reduces stress hormones and encourages relaxation.
In this meditation, we first undertake a relaxing body scan followed by a calming visual. Really hope you enjoy :)
