Every year the University of Michigan's Institute for Social Research releases an annual review of psychological research on a variety of topics. In 2002, Jacquelynne S. Eccles and Allan Wigfield wrote a chapter on Motivational Beliefs, Values, and Goals which summarizes the latest research on the topic of motivation.
