It makes sense to pay for a family member (child or grandchild) to get paid to care for an aging loved one. It makes sense to you but not to the Medicaid agency when you need to apply for Medicaid.

    Today we discuss how to make this work which takes PRE PLANNING. You have to do this on the front end and not the end. We talk about how to make this clear to Medicaid that the checks to the caregiver was not a gift.
