Dr. McCampbell serves as a Humanities Professor, Author, and Speaker. Her book, Imagining Our Neighbors as Ourselves: How Art Shapes Empathy, looks at the part narrative art plays in cultivating our empathy for others. It's a crucial work given the times in which we live that can so easily move us to dehumanize those from whom we differ.
