As Yuval Refael prepares to represent Israel in Switzerland with bravery, grace, and honor, we take the opportunity to dive into one of our favorite topics: the Pre-Eurovision (aka 'Kdam')! Back before reality singing contests were a thing, Israel would select its song for the Eurovision with a special 'Pre-Eurovision' contest - in which Israel's best and brightest singers would compete for the honor of representing the blue and white. Many of Israel's most beloved songs came from this annual event, and we're playing some of your favorites today on Israel Hour Radio.
