How can we forgive others who have hurt us, or hurt someone we love? Can we really follow Jesus' example of forgiveness when He forgave those who tortured and crucified Him while He still hung on the cruel cross? Is it possible for us to demonstrate that kind of true forgiveness in this mortal life?..
This is exactly what Charlie Kirk's widow, Erika Kirk, did when she spoke at her husband's funeral. She forgave her husband's killer, "Because that Is what Christ did, and what Charlie would do". This is indeed, exactly what Christ did, demonstrating a perfect example of what he taught us to do as well.
