Fort Wayne FC currently sits one point behind league newcomers, Lexington SC II, at the top of the Valley division on USL League 2. However, they have a game in hand to make up that difference. And with just two regular season games to go, they can control their own fate.

Fort Wayne FC had a tough task ahead of them on Saturday facing a U23 side from Atlas FC in the Mexican premier league (Liga MX). Fort Wayne entered the match after two tough losses in league play. It was a hard fought match, but after 87 minutes of play, it was Beaubrun who finally broke through with a winning goal for Fort Wayne.

Our team from Fort Wayne Footy was at the match taking in all the sights and sounds of this international friendly - from tailgating with Three Rivers Regiment to shaking hands with players after the final whistle. We're excited to talk more about it on this episode.

Fort Wayne FC has been working hard and riding high so far this season as they entered Saturday's match with West Virginia United unbeaten. Unfortunately they didn't leave the match the same way. And although they didn't grab the 3 points at home, they still sit atop the Valley Division of USL2 thanks to a mid-week win over 2nd place rival, Lexington SC II.

But things don't slow down quite yet for the boys in blue. Wednesday they travel to Columbus for their next league match and come back home next Saturday to host Atlas FC U-23 (Liga MX) at Bishop D'Arcy stadium.

For the second time in 15 days, Fort Wayne FC faced off against the Kings Hammer squad out of Cincinnati. This time they did so on the road. King's Hammer put up a good fight on their home turf but in the end Fort Wayne came away the victors off the foot of Tiago Dias.

Meanwhile, in Grand Rapids, 1927SC took care of business with a 3-0 victory over the home side, Grand Rapids SC.

It was a busy week at home for Fort Wayne FC, but they took care of business with wins over Kings Hammer FC Columbus on Wednesday and Kings Hammer FC Cincinnati on Saturday. After earning 6 more points, Fort Wayne remains at the top of the table in the Valley Division of USL League 2.

This week FWFC travels to West Virginia for a midweek match against the Chaos and will be back home next Saturday for their second meeting with the Dayton Dutch Lions.

Fort Wayne FC took the show on the road this week for a stretch of 2 games. This Saturday they squared off against the Dayton Dutch Lions and and snatched a 2-0 victory. Next week they travel to Lexington to play Lexington SC II and look to continue their winning ways.

But Fort Wayne FC wasn't the only team in action this weekend. 1927 SC played a thriller with Grand Rapids SC and stole the victory in the 94th minute. Our own Dustin Diller was there and joins us tonight with his match report.
