À propos de cet audio

I
n this episode: Rick Bolland's life changed in the mid-1980s when he underwent a life-saving bone marrow transplant. Inspired by her son's experience, Rick's mother took the initiative to establish Australia's bone marrow registry, a remarkable endeavor that has saved innumerable lives. Her relentless dedication to this cause earned her the well-deserved recognition of the Order of Australia. However, the coverup over the infected blood scandal knew no boundaries no matter what family you were from. Rick didn’t just get a bone marrow transplant in 1985, he also got tainted blood and what is even more alarming is authorities knew but concealed it.
