Nonetheless, the new University head, Cipher, welcomes them back with open arms but he's on the lookout for Marie who has been on the run since she escaped from Elmira.Following Marie's escape Andre Anderson also tried to escape the facility but died in the attempt. Kate only learns about this after reading Jordan's thoughts and seeks to find out more from Cipher but to no avail.Elsewhere, trying to dodge the authorities, Marie encounters some of Starlight’s supporters being abused by Homelander fans; she can't help but defend them. But the incident draws out Starlight who tells Marie she must return to God U as it's the only safe place.The incident also leads Jordan and Emma to her location followed by Cate. Cate tries to encourage Marie to return to God U but believing that Cate was going to use her powers to control Marie, Jordan uses their powers to throw her against a wall cracking her skull.
