Holidays signify a unique holiday podcast episode from PJH, and this Labor Day is no exception!

Paul John Hausleben, the engaging host of God Bless the Keg Publishing LLC’s podcast, commemorates Labor Day weekend and the final celebration of summer with a distinctive holiday podcast episode. Paul embarks on a nostalgic journey as he recounts one of his most renowned short stories, "The Eye of the Tiger" (also known to readers as "The Roller-Skating Story") from his acclaimed book, "The Time Bomb in The Cupboard and other Adventures of Harry and Paul."

Given that the story is set during Labor Day, Paul immerses himself in the enchantment of the narrative and the significance of the words as he narrates the tale of Harry M. Redmond Junior's extraordinary endeavor to raise funds for a charity during a Labor Day event that served as a fundraiser for the cause. Paul’s storytelling is enchanting, characterized by his emotional delivery, his laughter at his own words, his enthusiasm in recalling the adventure, and most importantly, his evident joy in taking a nostalgic journey down memory lane. As an added treat, Paul plays a recorded audio clip (later released as a spoken word humor CD!) from many years ago, recorded during a guest gig on a low-power college radio station, where Paul relates the closing of the story and in doing so, perfectly captures the emotions and true essence of a classic short story.

Throughout the podcast, Paul shares some background information regarding the writing of Time Bomb and the stories it contains, and as is his custom, he successfully evokes nostalgic memories from his own life, pays tribute to his old New Jersey neighborhood, and reflects on his past as well as the memories of the listeners. Be sure not to miss this special holiday podcast episode, and let it bring joy to your holiday weekend.
