  • 114. Supplements for Those Living with Vestibular Migraine
    Nov 18 2025
We’re talking about supplements for migraine—there are a lot of different ones! And just because something works for someone else doesn’t necessarily mean it will also work for you. Sometimes these supplements don’t work for people at all. And other times they work really well—even better than some medications. As with all things migraine management, it’s very person dependent. In this episode, we’ll dig into: Benefits of the most common supplements like magnesium What coenzymes do that can help with migraine management Why you need to consult with your doctor before adding in new supplements Side effects you may notice with supplements (like your pee turning neon orange) If you should get your levels checked before supplementing Which spices can be helpful for migraine Which supplements can be really supportive for the trigeminal nerve Labels to look for on supplements to help you find good ones Which supplements to try first vs leave for a little later To learn even more about supplements for vestibular migraine treatment, join us in Vestibular Group Fit (use code GROUNDED at checkout)! • 113. Should I Go to Vestibular Rehab Therapy? w/ Dr. Jenna Green
    Nov 11 2025
Dr. Jenna Green joins me, Dr. Madison Oak, for this episode all about vestibular rehab therapy (VRT)! If you don’t know, Dr. Jenna is my work wife inside Vestibular Group Fit. One thing you’ll hear us stress is that you can be not ready for VRT. We’ve both (kindly) kicked people out of therapy before because it wasn’t the best option for them at that time. There’s a lot we unearth not just about what VRT actually looks like, but also how to find the best setting and physical therapist for your treatment. In this episode, we’ll dig into: What is vestibular rehab therapy (or VRT) How to find a vestibular rehabilitation physical therapist near you Why it’s so important to have a good relationship with your PT Symptoms you should see a physical therapist for How seeing a vestibular PT can help with anxiety How frequently & how long you need to see a vestibular physical therapist for How much of vestibular rehab is at-home vs what you do in the clinic Why fewer PTs are working with insurance and what you can do about it What often happens when you start VRT too soon The difference between VRT basics and traditional VRT How affordable the vestibular rehab therapy basics are How to know you are ready to start vestibular rehab therapy The biggest benefit of telehealth VRT Sometimes TIME is the most proactive thing you can do for your body, to regulate your system. There is a huge upside to telehealth VRT, so don’t worry if you don’t have a trained PT in your area. You have options! Most vestibular PTs are kind and highly empathetic people. They want to know if you’re feeling a certain way about your exercises. For the best benefit to you, VRT needs to be a collaborative experience. If you have any other questions about vestibular rehab therapy—what VRT is, the types of exercises prescribed in VRT, or if Vestibular Group Fit is right for you—DM us! • 106. Is Botox an Effective Treatment for Vestibular Migraine?
    Sep 23 2025
People ask me all the time, “Does Botox work for vestibular migraine?” Another common question people ask is, “Is it going to get rid of my dizziness?” That question is missing the point. When you’re treating vestibular migraine, you’re not treating the dizziness. Does Botox work for VM? Yes, but not because you’re treating the dizziness. In this episode, you’ll hear me synthesize a study that dove into the impact of Botox on vestibular migraine—how it works, who it works for, and some important things to know if you’d like to explore this treatment for yourself. In this episode, we’ll dig into: What is Botox for and not to be used for How Botox treats vestibular migraine Where the Botox injections happen for vestibular migraine If insurance covers Botox for vestibular migraine How many Botox treatments it takes to see any change Important note if you have EDS and VM and are interested in Botox If you think Botox is just freezing the muscles and therefore vestibular migraine goes away—no.
