  • Beth Viney - Czar's Promise On Getting Bad News About Your Beloved Pet: "Caring for Pets with Cancer: It's kinda like you get a glazed look over your face, your your throat sinks down into your stomach, and you have a thousand questions and not a lot of answers." Pets hold a special place in our hearts. They lift us up when we're down and lift us even higher when we're doing alright. They show us what is really important: food, water, naps, a few snuggles and maybe scratching that one spot that makes your leg shake for joy. But pets are living, breathing and loving creatures and living creatures can get sick, just like us. This is especially challenging with a pet that doesn't have a great way of expressing all that they are feeling in regards to their health. Beth Viney is the founder of Czar's Promise, a non-profit that helps pet owners navigate the options when they find out their pet has cancer. This includes information and resources to help you as a pet owner. Listen as Beth explains how you can help you pet, before they have cancer and just in case they are diagnosed with cancer. She shares her wisdom, passion and drive and is doing all she can to make our incredible pets as happy, healthy and helpful as possible. Enjoy! And one that we do every single day is we work with families throughout Wisconsin and even some other states that come to Madison, Wisconsin for veterinary oncology Czars. Because their pet, their dog or cat has been diagnosed with cancer. And what we do is we help The navigate through that journey. Because when you first hear the words, your dog or your cat has cancer, it's kinda like you get a glazed look over your face, your your throat sinks down into your stomach, and you have a thousand questions and not a lot of answers.
