The EFF and DA has condemned Ramaphosa's administration for sending the Unequipped, and Untrained soldiers to their deaths. They further blame the lack of planning before deploying the soldiers, sacrificing their lives to strengthen political ties between South Africa and the DRC. On April 25, Cyril Ramaphosa extended SANDF deployment in Mozambique and DRC despite being warned about the possible dangers and financial strain that would come with this decision.
