À propos de cet audio
On this episode of Buck’s Beat, Buck Belue breaks down the Falcons’ heartbreaking season-opening loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Positives:
🏈 Rookie QB Michael Penix Jr. looked legit — showing outstanding pocket presence, mobility when needed, and a clutch gene that gives fans hope.
🤝 Kyle Pitts is starting to build real chemistry with Penix.
💪 Tyler Allgeier ran hard and effectively.
✅ Elijah Wilkinson held his own in a tough spot on the line.
🔒 Defensively, rookies Billy Bowman Jr. and Xavier Watts impressed in their first NFL starts.
The Negatives:
⚠️ GM Terry Fontenot has left way too many holes on this roster — center, OT, WR2, DL, and CB2 all need upgrades.
❓ What are the Falcons doing with first-round pick Jalen Walker? Buck says they must put him in a better position to succeed.
📉 Both coordinators get a failing grade for Week 1.
🚫 Mike Hughes was exposed again at CB2.
😬 Younghoe Koo’s missed kick to tie it at the end was tough — but Buck says that’s not why Atlanta lost.
📺 Buck calls it like he sees it: the Falcons have talent, but glaring roster holes and bad coaching decisions cost them the game.
