  • When Sensitivity Becomes Strength
    Sep 15 2025

Have you ever been told you’re “too sensitive”? For years, I was ashamed of my sensitivity; I thought it made me weak. But when I came back to Christ, I discovered that my sensitivity isn’t a disability. It’s a God-given ability.

In this message, I share how sensitivity, when surrendered to Jesus, becomes a source of discernment, empathy, and healing. It’s the power of the Holy Spirit that enables us to feel what others can’t put into words—and to respond with Christlike love.

We’ll also confront the sobering reality of our culture: truth is under attack, hearts are growing cold, and even some who claim Christ are revealing otherwise. Yet Scripture calls us higher: “Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth” (1 Corinthians 13:6 NIV).

    ✝️ Sensitivity is strength.

    ✝️ Truth is not negotiable.

✝️ Love must not grow cold.

Join me as we talk about embracing your God-given sensitivity, resisting the enemy’s lies, and living boldly in truth and love.

  • How to Love Like the Lord: Overcoming Anger God’s Way
    Aug 25 2025

✝️ Love is not easily angered; it keeps no record of wrongs. (1 Corinthians 13:5)

Anger is powerful—but it’s also deceptive. Underneath it often lies fear, sadness, or disappointment. Left unchecked, anger robs us of peace, strains our relationships, and keeps us bound in regret.

Through Scripture, recovery wisdom, and personal testimony, she reminds us that forgiveness is freedom and that protecting your peace is essential to living out your God-given purpose.

    🦋 What you’ll learn:

    • Why anger is a secondary emotion—and what’s really hiding underneath it
    • How to release bitterness, rage, and self-righteous anger God’s way
    • How to protect your peace and pursue your true purpose in Christ

If you’ve ever struggled with anger or grudges, this message will encourage you to let go and live freely.

  • How to Love Like The Lord: Love Does Not Dishonor
    Aug 21 2025

What does love do when it could win the argument but wound a heart? In this episode of Born to be a Butterfly, host Nina Pajonas continues our 1 Corinthians 13 series with verse 5—“Love does not dishonor others; it is not self-seeking.” We unpack the biblical meaning of dishonor (shame, contempt, slander), how self-centeredness quietly drives it, and what Christlike love looks like in real life. Nina shares personal insight on church hurt, gossip, and shame—and how Jesus restores dignity and redirects our hearts toward humility, healing, and transformation. You’ll hear Scripture, practical steps to guard your words, reconcile relationships, and serve without seeking credit, plus reflection questions and a closing prayer. If you’ve wrestled with comparison, criticism, or being misunderstood, this conversation will help you honor others without abandoning truth—and grow in spiritual maturity.

    Listen for:

    • What “dishonor” means in the Bible (and why it’s so destructive)

    • How “not self-seeking” reframes conflict, community, and service

    • Practical ways to resist gossip, shame, and performative kindness

    • Reflection prompts + prayer for freedom, integrity, and Christlike love

    Aug 4 2025

Envy. It’s one of the most overlooked yet spiritually dangerous emotions we can entertain. In today’s deeply personal episode, I’m sharing a story that’s stayed with me for decades—a warning from my mother, Carmen, just months before she passed, about the destructive power of envy.

    We’ll explore:

✝️ What Scripture says about envy and how it leads to spiritual decay

✝️ How envy is rooted in ingratitude and comparison

    ✝️ Why envy isn’t just a feeling—it’s a foothold for the enemy

✝️ The antidote to envy (and the spiritual shift that brings freedom)

✝️ How to turn jealousy into joy and comparison into confidence

We’re going to dive deep—into what it means to honor your own calling, to encourage others without fear, and to stop chasing crowns that were never meant for you.

This episode is for the woman who’s been on both sides of envy—the one who’s felt it... and the one who’s been wounded by it.

    🦋 Featuring:

    • Personal testimony

    • Scripture-based teaching (Romans 1:21, James 3:14–16, Galatians 5:19–21)

    • A powerful reflection prayer

    • Questions to help you confront envy with grace and truth
