If real estate investing creates less risk than the stock market, why does it require accredited investors?

CORRECTION: Around 23:30 I should be saying Rule 506B; I failed to add the "B" as I was speaking.

Jared discusses this listener question which contains two major assumptions, i.e. 1) real estate investing is less risky and 2) I have to be accredited to invest in it.

Jared explains the wide spectrum of real estate investing risk.  Jared then explains what it means to be an accredited investor and why whether accreditation is necessary is unrelated to the level of risk in the investment.
