HOW FAST CAN YOU “GROW”?

A baby giraffe DOUBLES it’s size in the first year of life…this is by divine design because predators are out to take its life, and its best chance to survive is to GROW!…quickly!

The same is true for us spiritually!…there is an enemy out to steal our testimonies, kill our faith and destroy our lives!…and the best chance you have to defeat him is to GROW in the GRACE of Christ!

But too many “Christians” are not growing…why?

The church is supposed to shape the culture, but instead…we see the culture shaping the church!

2 Peter 1 gives a spiritual growth blueprint and game plan for the church and all who claim to be a follower of Christ!

The past couple weeks we have been in a series entitled “Waiting Room: God’s Delay is not God’s Denial”…and we have seen that one of the most difficult but significant tools God uses in preparing His people is WAITING on God’s timing!

Abraham and Sarah waited 25 years for the covenant promise of Isaac, Joseph waited 13 years from the vision of Gods plan until its fulfillment while the whole time everything went “wrong” in the waiting season…but the pit and the prison did not cancel the palace!

It was not punishment, it was positioning!

Now…the grand finale…what do you do when in the midst of waiting on God, things don't just go wrong… But you’re persecuted, attacked, left hopeless, where all chances for you seem lost… in fact, the very plan or dream you thought God had for you in your life seems to have died.

What do you do now?…How do you respond?…to whom do you turn? Is there still any hope?

WAITING IS HARD!!!

It is said that God’s timing is perfect… But it seems less than perfect when you’re the one in the waiting room!

Waiting on God’s timing is hard enough… But what do you do when in the midst of that waiting, you experience resistance, heartache, persecution? What if the whole time you’re waiting you feel like everything‘s going wrong, all you’re getting is bad news, and God seems silent… almost as if he doesn’t care?

How do you respond? How do you keep going?

Called to Serve

TO SERVE OR BE SERVED?…We live in a consumer based society full of expectations of being served properly, immediately and continuously.

If we are not careful, we bring those expectations to church!…when Christ set the example opposite of that mentality!

The idea of serving for many people today is to look to get titles and call the shots, when Jesus called us all to serve by taking up a towel!

Statistically, 80% of serving in churches is done by 20% of the people!…what if that number doubled?…tripled?…QUADRUPLED? How much more effective could the body of Christ be?

What is the purpose of serving?…what does it do in you when you serve?…what does it do in others?

How has God wired and gifted you to serve?

Come join the mission God has placed us on! Be inspired, motivated and moved by the Word and the Spirit of the Lord to lock arms and move forward in the next season God has called us to!

We live in a microwave society where nobody likes waiting on anything!…but It’s inevitable…no matter how much you don’t like it, you will have to WAIT on things in your life.

How do you view “waiting on God”?…it’s said that’s Gods timing is perfect…but it feels less than perfect when you’re the one in the WAITING ROOM!

All of us have been, are now, or will be in a season of waiting on God’s timing for something in our lives…how do we handle these “delays”?

Spiritual impatience will affect our faith, view of God, and even the outcome of our lives…so how do we trust God in our seasons of waiting?

Is there any spiritual truth, encouragement and hope we can anchor to in our waiting seasons?
