  • What It Means To Be Beautiful - Saram Khand
    Jul 9 2025

"The chisel of humility carves you to immense incomparability."

In Saram Khand—the realm of humility described in Japji Sahib—our hardened ego is chiselled away. This process is often difficult, but it is through this inner sculpting that true spiritual beauty emerges. Humility is not weakness; it is a true strength—the shedding of the ego.

In this episode, Bhai Baljit Singh and Bibi Kirandeep Kaur delve into the divine wisdom of Japji Sahib. They reflect on the inspiring sakhi (true story) of Bhai Nand Lal Ji, a celebrated scholar and poet in the court of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The story recounts a powerful moment of humility: when Guru Ji, disguised in simple attire, approached Bhai Nand Lal Ji late at night requesting langar. Bhai Nand Lal Ji's response revealed the depth of their humility and love for the Guru.

Through this discussion, we are reminded that the path to divine union is not through pride, but through sincere humility.
