  • Episode 6 | The Most Entertaining Shirt of the 90s (LOVE it)
    Sep 4 2025

Kiss the Badge is back after a short break — I’ll explain why I was off-air last week and what’s coming next, and what we won't be doing any more of moving forward!

Then for this week's Future Classic - the Real Madrid 2024–25 third shirt. Part of the Adidas Originals range, it blends retro Trefoil nostalgia with modern performance, and was worn in THAT unforgettable Declan Rice game - you know the one. Best brace (and/or free-kick) of all time?

Then, in From the Vault, it’s a 90s stape. The Newcastle 1995–97 'Brown Ale' home shirt. From the iconic Grandad collar and somewhat controversial sponsor to the highs and lows of Kevin Keegan’s Entertainers — Shearer, Ginola, Ferdinand and THAT rant — this is a shirt that still sums up a whole era, and entertained the whole world.

  • Episode 4| Bleu, Blanc & the Beautiful Game
    Jul 24 2025

In this episode, we dive into one of the most iconic football shirts of all time: the France 1998 home kit. From its bold chest stripe and tricolour collar to the cultural weight it carried during a transformative summer, we explore how this shirt became a symbol of unity, identity, and triumph. Zidane’s headers, Thuram’s tears, Barthez’s bald brilliance — it all happened in blue.

Then we fast-forward to 2019 for a feature on Borussia Dortmund’s blackout kit — a modern cult classic. We unpack the shirt’s stealth design, limited-edition hype, its one and only match appearance, and how it redefined football fashion.

Whether you love collars, culture or collector’s items, this one’s for the kit obsessives.

We also take a detour to Venice to admire the cult classic that is Venezia’s 2021–22 shirt — gold trim, gothic type, and Serie A swagger. You don't want to miss this.

  • Episode 2 | (Total) Football Never Looked So Good
    Jul 11 2025

In this episode, we dive into the bold brilliance of the Netherlands’ 1988 shirt—an iconic blend of style, swagger, and silverware. From its geometric genius to its place in football folklore, this kit changed the game for fans and shirt collectors alike.

Plus, this week's modern classic features a look-back at one of the best games of football ever played (aren't finals supposed to be cagey?) containing one of the best saves, best penalties, and worst pieces of co-commentary that we've ever heard.

  • Episode 1 | The Most Iconic Collar in Football
    Jul 6 2025

And it's live! This is a brand new podcast for football romantics, shirt collectors and anyone who remembers the sponsor just as clearly as the scoreline. Each week we'll be pulling one vintage football shirt off of the hanger (or out of the laundry basket) and delving deep into its fabric, its folklore and its feeling. From bold designs and brilliant goals to collars, crests and cult heroes, this is the place to discuss the football shirts we wore, and the things that happened while we were wearing them.

First up it's the shirt that sparked it all for me back in the mid-90s, aka the golden era of a bloke-core staple - the baggy football shirt. Was it the most iconic collar - and greatest comeback - in Premier League history?
