On this Seeds of Sunshine:
- Looking back at our mother/daughter podcast that Sophia and I started three years ago. We plan to continue with the same great and inspiring content, with Sophia continuing as the editor and introducing our guests from UC Santa Barbara, where she will be starting college next week.
- I came across a great concept, Komorebi, a Japanese word which literally means sunlight leaking through trees, or as I described it in my article published on Medium, I see it when I stand still during my runs, I feel like I'm steeping in nature to sip sunshine, living and loving the light in a world of shadows.
- Komorebi - the topic of this episode is this light that we all want to welcome into our lives and to seek during our daily lives, maybe during a walk, during a run, or just by being in your office or in your home.
- Author Hector Garcia defined komorebi as "the sunlight leaking through trees, a display of sunbeams filtering through tree branches."
- As far as our real estate market, there is beauty in being a buyer right now. You can see some komorebi out there, some light after experiencing really crazy prices that kept going up and up for us in the Sacramento region.
- Price negotiations are quite possible. The sellers are still understanding that they have to adjust their prices. So we see a lot of price reductions or price improvements out there in our real estate market. And basically, that's a really good thing for the buyers.
- And another great thing for my buyers is the fact that, finally, they have more choices. In recent years, there were very few listings on the market, so everybody was fighting for a few out there, and now that has become much better for the buyers and the sellers that I work with.
