À propos de cet audio

It is a topic that affects many people – and yet is rarely discussed openly: loneliness in old age.
It often creeps up on you. The children have moved out, your partner may have passed away, friendships are dwindling.
Suddenly there are days – sometimes whole weeks – without a personal conversation, without contact, without a real counterpart.

And that hurts. Deeply.

Loneliness is more than just an unpleasant feeling. It can make you ill – mentally and physically. Studies show that people who are permanently lonely have a higher risk of depression, heart disease, and even dementia.
But the tragic thing is that many people are ashamed of it. They withdraw, remain silent, and suffer in silence.

But it doesn't have to stay that way.

Loneliness is not a fate that you are powerless to change. It takes courage, yes. And sometimes it takes a little push from outside.
The first step. A conversation. A new idea.
