À propos de cet audio

Music big guys and little guys. And actually... it's not just music. It's about anything creative that makes us stop for a second and enjoy. Why they do what they do and how. It's the stuff that adds the colour to a black and white world. An occasional series of interesting stuff.Copyright Mike Kinnaird - Voice Artist Sciences sociales

  • Iain Matthews - Matthews Southern Comfort, Plainsong
    Apr 7 2022
Iain Matthews is one of Britain's foremost singer-songwriters. From his early days in Fairport Convention to Plainsong to the fabulous fresh music he's still creating today. He's contributed to at least 100 albums and scored a huge UK Number 1 on October 31, 1970, with a cover of Joni Mitchell's, 'Woodstock.' Iain tells how the lad who grew up in the steel town of Scunthorpe in the UK moved to London in his teens just see what all the London fuss was about. He explains why he quit 'Matthews Southern Comfort' so dramatically just as success arrived. And why it was important to carry on that project many years later. Still touring, producing books, and recording new music, thankfully Iain Matthews is as busy as ever from his home in the Netherlands. All music included was used with the kind permission of Iain Matthews. To hear more and buy just a selection of his music, go to Cherry Red Records. https://www.cherryred.co.uk/product/iain-matthews-i-cant-fade-away-the-rockburgh-years-1978-1984-6cd/ To buy Iain's two books, on Matthews Southern Comfort and on Plainsong go to Route Books. http://www.route-online.com/all-books/thro-my-eyes-a-memoir.html http://www.route-online.com/all-books/in-search-of-plainsong.html
