 We’re going to be looking at the SPIRITUAL WAR that began after the flood and the SIGNIFICANCE of the TOWER of BABEL, and so over the next few episodes we’ll discuss the details and implications of this account in Gen 11. Yesterday, we focused on NIMROD, and determined that HE was the LEADER in the POST-FLOOD Rebellion against God. While the Bible doesn’t explicitly say that NIMROD was responsible for building the tower of Babel, he is credited as founding the FIRST KINGDOM, as we discussed yesterday, in BABEL. We discussed how he was the clear LEADER to establish the city, and therefore suggests that he is the leader of the REBELLION. As we will see, NIMROD and BABEL is the BEGINNING of SATAN’S plan to THWART the PROMISES of God, TO BRING the world into his REBELLION, and to TAKE DOMINION OVER the EARTH. NIMROD is the SPIRIT of ANTICHRIST, who will SOON come, and set up his GLOBAL KINGDOM. According to the Bible, BABEL becomes the SOURCE of ALL THE IDOLATRY on the earth, as seen in Rev 17:5. Today we’ll look at HOW this MYSTICAL NARRATIVE about NIMROD and his WIFE persisted after God SCATTERED the people from BABEL, and has been echoed in the cultures AROUND the WORLD, even until THIS DAY: Semiramis became synonymous with the pagan goddesses of many cultures: Ishtar, Inanna, Ashtoreth, Diana, Artemis, Aphrodite and others. Her primary title is "the Queen of Heaven."
