  • New Yorker of the Week: Laura Henny, Founder of The Rack Shack and Advocate for Body-Positive Bra Shopping
    May 15 2025

Today’s episode is close to our hearts — quite literally (boobs!!)
We’re joined by none other than the Bra Witch of Brooklyn herself: Laura Henny. Nestled in Bushwick, her iconic lingerie haven — The Rack Shack — is a magical space built for all boobs and all bodies.
Laura has turned bra shopping into something that feels like a dream — joyful, judgment-free, and kind of like you're on a cloud. She also has a supernatural gift: she can look at your boobs and instantly know your correct size. Don’t believe us? Hanna walked in thinking she was a 36C — Laura took one look and said, absolutely not. Consider us converted.
Tune in as the magic (and the boob-myth-busting) unfolds in today’s episode!

  • New Yorker of the Week: Rox JerZ Queen—The Ultimate Queen of Jersey
    May 8 2025

The other day—I, Nora (yes, it’s me typing this in real time)—introduced Hanna to Jersey Shore for the very first time. A milestone in our relationship, yes. But also? A humbling anthropological moment. Turns out, after some light fieldwork (Instagram DMs and a TikTok rabbit hole), much of Gen Z is disturbingly out of the loop on Jersey Shore. A cultural chasm. A generational schism. Imagine my horror.

Fast forward however many years it’s been since 2009 (time is a construct, etc.) and we find ourselves in the presence of the QUEEN of Jersey herself: Rox—JerZ Queen. And let me tell you, she’s not just the epitome of New Yorker of the Week—she is the archetype. Sure, her home address may technically read “New Jersey,” but the moment she guns it through the tunnel? She transcends. She becomes not just a New Yorker—but the very Platonic ideal of New York. She’s what New York dreams of being when it lies awake at night, haunted by its own inadequacy.

Tune in as we spill the tea (nay, the entire boiling kettle) on Rox’s legendary 15 minutes with Pitbull (dale) and relive the glory of snapping Blackberry pics with the original Jersey Shore cast at Karma. Yes. The Blackberry. Karma. Icons meeting icons.

God damn, we love this woman.

  • New Yorker of the Week: Anna Hull, the Coolest Name in NYC Astrology
    May 1 2025

A few weeks ago, Nora found herself in a “special” place (emotionally, spiritually, astrologically—you get it) and ended up at a New Moon Workshop at Dou Yoga in Brooklyn. That’s where she met the ultimate NYC healer, Anna Hull. Intuitive astrologer. Energy reader. Coolest calm presence you’ve ever been around.

We don’t really know how astrology works, but somehow, Anna does—and without making it weird. She’s part mystic, part guide, part woman-you-end-up-crying-to-after-a-sound-bath. A true cosmic New Yorker of the Week.

You don’t have to believe in the stars to believe in Anna Hull. But honestly, after this episode, you just might. Hit play, ditch reality, and let Anna map out NYC’s cosmic forecast.

  • New Yorker of the Week: Ram Belle, NYC’s Dazzling Fire Performer, LED Flow Artist, and Go-Go Star
    Apr 24 2025

Fire stars. Chains. Dual Axes. Pouring hot wax in your mouth. This week, we’re joined by Ram Belle—aka Christy—a NYC based performance artist whose work spans burlesque, fire manipulation, and LED flow. She’s been setting East Coast stages ablaze (literally) for over a decade, and we sat down to trace the spark all the way back to where it began.

We talk about her first time performing with fire (what goes through your head when you’re literally holding flame), how she prepares her body and mind for shows that mix danger with beauty, and what it means to do this kind of work in New York, where your venue might be House of Yes one night and a birthday party in Jersey the next.

Ram Belle is pure magic. She's literally lighting NYC on fire and we are HERE for it.

  • New Yorker of the Week: Meet Beau Dega and Virgo Rising, NYC's Top Drag King and Queen Performers
    Apr 17 2025

Who runs NYC? Some say the rats. Some say the real estate developers. Some say that one woman who sits outside T-mobile smoking a cig. But this week, we bow down to the real monarchs of the moment: King Beau Dega and Queen Virgo Rising, our New Yorker(s) of the Week.

On today's episode, we’re talking late-night lashes, early-morning meetings, and the commitment of gluing on a mustache before hitting the stage. We discuss the unspoken labor of drag—of crafting a persona, commanding a room, and somehow still answering emails the next morning.

This is an ode to the kings, the queens, and everyone in between who make this city shimmer under stage lights and street lamps alike.

It’s giving duality. It’s giving duct tape and rhinestones. It’s giving gender, exploded. Enjoy! Xx

  • New Yorker of the Week: Jessie Jolles, Astoria’s Fashion-Forward TikTok Star
    Apr 10 2025

This week’s New Yorker of the Week? The radiant, risk-taking queen of Astoria herself: Jessie Jolles.

If you’ve ever spotted a curly-haired brunette strutting the streets in neon, feathers, faux fur, or anything that screams “YES,” chances are you’ve just witnessed Jessie in the wild. Miranda Priestly and Nigel? Sorry. Jessie is the fashion authority now.

But don’t get it twisted—Jessie’s not just a style icon. She’s a hilarious writer, director, performer, and co-host of two incredible podcasts: Happily Ever Heard of It and Middle Children. She’s also taking over your TikTok and Insta feeds with comedy that serves looks and laughs.

She was a joy to interview, a dream to behold, and an easy choice for this week’s NYC royalty.

  • New Yorker of the Week: Meet Laurie Cooper, Former RHONY Real Estate Agent and NYC Dating Expert
    Apr 3 2025

When we think New Yorker of the Week—actually, scratch that—New Yorker of the YEAR… one name comes to mind: Laurie Cooper. NYC royalty. Real estate legend. Martini-fueled dating guru.
You may recognize Laurie from The Real Housewives of New York City, where she helped Dorinda Medley list her Upper East Side apartment (because of course she did). Since then, she’s gone from luxury broker to viral TikTok icon, doling out dating advice and hosting glamorous “Martini Meet-Ups” for NYC singles.
We had Laurie on our last show (RIP to HH&PL), and it only felt right to have her return to help us kick things off here. She’s a gem, a riot, a queen—and we’re obsessed. You will be too.

  • New Yorker of the Week: Meet Lola, the Famous Mets Dog Outside Citi Field
    Mar 27 2025

Have you ever gone to Citi Field on a Saturday? Maybe you went for the Mets. But we went for Lola—the dog dressed as a Mets player who sits outside the stadium giving high fives like it’s her full-time job. A local legend. A paw-sitive icon (so sorry). The truest New Yorker of the Week.

You might be wondering, “How did you interview a dog?” Great question. But on this podcast, magic happens left and right. Lola is a certified staple of NYC, and we’re honored to crown her queen of the city—for at least one glorious, tail-wagging week.
