Welcome to this special PURPOSESCAPING mini episode.

When I was in middle school, I discovered I had a gift for putting feelings into words. I would write poems that captured the emotional experiences of myself and my peers. I'd write about our joys, our heartbreaks, our quiet struggles. Years later, a healer told me that I had the spiritual gift of intercession.

Intercession is the act of praying on behalf of others, standing in the gap and lifting up the needs of someone else when they may not have the words themselves. These days, instead of writing poems, I find myself regularly writing and saying prayers on behalf of the people I love. In these short episodes, I want to share some of those same petitions with you. If you've ever thought or said, I don't know how to pray.

My hope is that these words help you give voice to the requests that are already on your heart.

This is a prayer for seasons of transition.

What Did You Do for Fun as a Child? Rediscovering Energy and Joy in Midlife

    Episode Summary:

In this quick Package Your Genius mini-episode, I’m sharing one of my favorite prompts from the Package Your Genius Companion Workbook: What did you do for fun as a child when no one was directing your time?

As midlife professionals, our lives can get so full and dynamic that we forget the simple things that once energized us. In this episode, I invite you to reflect on the activities that lit you up during a simpler time—and to consider what might still fuel your creativity, confidence, and personal brand today. Sometimes the clues to what you need now are hidden in what you loved then.

What You’ll Hear in This Episode:
    • Why childhood joys and passions can serve as a compass for your brand and career.

    • How midlife transitions can distract us from the things that once energized us.

    • A simple reflection exercise to help you reconnect with your unique spark.

    Let’s Connect:

I’d love to hear what this episode sparked for you! If you’re listening as I bring Purposescaping back, thank you for all the encouragement and feedback on the episodes I’ve published so far—it truly means the world.
