À propos de cet audio
The Nightwatchmen Investigative Team is a group based out of Eastern Ontario (Ottawa Valley). We are paranormal investigators in search of provable paranormal evidence. The group is named after those who historically watched over citizens, towns and property at night, to keep them safe. Hence, the Nightwatchmen Investigative Team was created.
Goals: we are a paranormal research group that conducts paranormal investigations for both public buildings and private facilities. Our goals are to capture verifiable evidence and to educate people on paranormal phenomena. Using various tools that we use to find such evidence , we try to help our community in order to keep the stories (and buildings) alive for future generations. We really enjoy educating the public on what we do and how we go about using the various equipment in our pursuit to capture evidence (ie not all EMF readings are automatically a ghost). We hope to ensure that every site that we investigate opens the door to other groups to come in and do the same, and hope to help the people living or working in those places, feel more at ease.
Team Bio - After a couple of years with another team, we decided it was time to break new ground with our own group - and Nightwatchmen Investigative Team emerged. Over the last 5 years we have had team members come and go and currently the team is lead by Mark and Cheryl McKee, along with Dan Ducheneux. Our team found common ground and symmetry of style and purpose with G.H.O.S.T (Ghost Hunters of Scientific Truth). We work regularly with other groups who are like minded and share a similar vision.
Members BIOs
Mark McKee has spent over 20 years investigating the paranormal, driven by a deep respect for history and a curiosity about spirit communication. Though teased in childhood for being afraid of ghosts, he actually felt calm in the dark—more intrigued than frightened. Mark approaches each investigation with professionalism and care, aiming to debunk myths as often as confirm activity. He values helping people feel comfortable in their own homes far more than chasing scares for entertainment. His work supports the preservation of historic sites through safe public investigations, and he avoids sensational practices like seances. Mark has explored numerous well-known and private locations, including Waverly Hills Sanitorium, West Virginia Penitentiary, Fort Henry, and the Bytown Museum. He believes that if ghosts exist, they were once living people and should be treated with dignity. Mark welcomes anyone seeking help understanding the unexplained in their homes.
Cheryl McKee: I have had experiences with the paranormal since the age of 12. I have always had a distinct appreciation and curiosity of spirits and making contact ever since. After meeting my husband Mark, and finding the same passion for ghost exploration, we joined our first team in Ottawa. From that experience I always want to learn more, to experience more of what is on “the other side”. I am also a Reiki Master and I use this skill in many of our investigations Reiki Master and I use this skill in many of our investigations to connect with spirits.
Melanie Thompson I have always had a strong interest in the paranormal and have had experiences since I was very young that I have been unable to explain. After attending a public investigation hosted by the Nightwatchmen I knew this a team that I would really enjoy being a part of. As a newer member of the team I really enjoy learning about the different aspects of investigating and the different equipment that is used.
Favorite Locations: Smiths Falls Heritage house museum, Perth Gaol, Pennhurst Asylum, West Virginia Penitentiary, Fort Henry in Kingston, Spencer City Grill (Spencerville, Ont), and Spencerville Grist Mill.
