It's time now for Ask An Expert. Every weekday at 9:20 A M on KCBS we're giving you direct access to top experts in various fields. A new poll conducted by the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows Republicans’ outlook on the direction of the country has soured dramatically. The poll was conducted shortly after last week's assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk in Utah and shows the share of Republicans who see the country headed in the right direction has fallen sharply in recent months. Today, only about half in the GOP see the nation on the right course, down from 70% in June. To talk about that and more, KCBS Radio anchors Margie Shafer and Eric Thomas spoke with Reed Galen, political consultant and co-founder of the Lincoln Project. Galen has worked on campaigns for John McCain and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
