Dieter Kolbeck started playing the piano at the age of 10. His experiences with his first combo Wellasgot, which was dedicated to jazz fusion, and his performance at the age of 15 with jazz legend Fatty George, triggered his desire to move to Vienna in 1984. There he studied jazz piano with Rudi Wilfer at the conservatory for 4 years.When Peter Legat was looking for a keyboard player for his band "Count Basic", the foundation stone was laid for the brilliant career of piano virtuoso Dieter Kolbeck. He toured all over Europe and Russia with "Count Basic" and subsequently played for "The Temptations" on European tours and for Glorya Gaynor for five years, where his appearances took him as far as Dubai.Dieter Kolbeck is also known for his numerous grandiose piano accompaniments at solo evenings for various artists. For 9 years he accompanied Georg Danzer throughout Europe (1998-2007), among others, and was also part of the band for Rainhard Fendrich including the duo program (2006-2015). He has also accompanied artists such as Harald Krassnitzer, Wolfgang Böck, Adi Hirschal etc. at their readings or galas.Dieter Kolbeck is also a studio musician, arranger, composer and music producer. Highlights of his career to date have certainly included his work with Martin Grubinger, his piano passages on the Kruder-Dorfmeister remix of Madonna's "Nothing Really Matters" and his music productions for various documentaries (Universum etc.) and commercials.---------------
