Jesus defined the purpose of the Holy Spirit when He said He must leave for the Holy Spirit to come and give comfort, counsel and be an advocate for His followers. Therefore, I believe the purpose of the Holy Spirit is for whatever we need to live a Godly life. The purposes of the Holy Spirit are unlimited.
