  • Reimagining Success with Becky Symes
    Jul 6 2025

In this week's episode, we’re talking about success! I’m joined by one of my favourite humans in the world, Becky Symes. She's a brand and website designer and vision strategist who helps women bring their boldest ideas to life.

As always we come to these episodes armed with one word, no notes and the willingness to see what comes. In this episode, Becky and I speak about personal brands and running a business in the age of snark, misery, and being chronically online. We discuss what success means to us, how it feels to say you want to be rich, how important it is that we give women in business more grace, and if the relatability wound is causing us to shrink instead of show up authentically.

    Becky Symes:

With over a decade of experience, Becky works with coaches, creators, and entrepreneurs in the wellness, self-development, and creative industries to build magnetic personal brands that align with their next chapter.

Blending aesthetics with storytelling, and strategy with energetics, Becky’s approach is both intuitive and structured—supporting women in moving from vision to reality with clarity and confidence.

  • Reimagining Wellness: Has it all got a bit too deep?
    Jun 29 2025

In this week's episode, we're talking about wellness. I come to these episodes with no notes or preparation, armed with one word and the willingness to see what comes.

As someone who has worked in the wellbeing space for 8 years, as a trauma-sensitive mindfulness and meditation teacher, Reiki master teacher, psychological first aider, mental health first aider, advanced Akashic Record practitioner, tarot guide, workshop facilitator, author and speaker... I have a lot to say on this topic.

Mainly, is wellness still working for us?

It's fair to say that we've reached peak wellness, but do we actually feel better for it? Has wellness become impossible to keep up with and something to judge and punish ourselves over? Is it all about what we need to buy to feel well or can we expand what wellness actually gets to be for us?

It's time to reimagine it, because it's all got a bit too deep.

This is just the beginning of the conversation. Tag me in your stories, thoughts, and shared chats about this with the folk in your life and on your screens. Send me messages with what came up for you on Instagram, where you'll find me @gisellelpm.

  • Reimagining Hobbies with Shannon Peter
    Jun 22 2025

In this week's episode, we’re talking about hobbies! I’m joined by the wonderful Shannon Peter, an award-winning beauty editor and content expert, who has written for the UK's biggest publications and worked with some of the industry's most seminal beauty brands.

As always we come to these episodes armed with one word and the willingness to see what comes. Shannon, also known as one of my best friends, is forever sewing and quilting up a treat; so I knew I had to have her on for this episode.

I see hobbies as being a vital ingredient in a full life. A part of how we can play and add some light-hearted joy to our lives without the pressure of it needing to have an intention or purpose beyond it feeling good to do. In this episode, Shannon and I speak about what hobbies give us, the millennial curse of the side hustle, infantilising hobbies, gendered assumptions, what we're making at the moment, the importance of owning how you value spending your time and more.

    Shannon Peter:

You can find Shannon, and look out for what she's been doing and making by following her on Instagram.

  • Reimagining Dating with Nicole Ocran
    Jun 15 2025

In this week's episode, we’re talking about dating! I’m joined by my incredible guest Nicole Ocran, a Ghanaian-Filipino co-author of The Half of It: Exploring the Mixed Race Experience, journalist, podcast co-host of Mixed Up, and fashion influencer.

As always we come to these episodes armed with one word and the willingness to see what comes. Nicole writes the weekly Substack newsletter, A Crumb of Romance, for lovers, sensitive souls, yearners, and anyone looking to inject a little romance into their everyday lives; so I knew I had to have her on for this episode.

I’ve always been an advocate for reimagining what being single looks like, and how we can all make modern dating work for us. In this episode, Nicole and I talk about being a lovergirl, relationship milestones, the Wild West of dating apps, not waiting “for the one” while you're single, keeping the hope, what therapy has to do with it, our thoughts on the whole "when you know, you know" and the balance of living a full life when single even if you desire being a relationship.

    Nicole Ocran:

For more of Nicole in your life, follow her on Instagram, buy her book, listen to her podcast, and you must subscribe to her Substack.

  • Reimagining Ease: Do we need to disqualify ourselves from the work hard Olympics?
    Jun 8 2025

In this week's episode, we're talking about ease. I come to these episodes with no notes or preparation, armed with one word and the willingness to see what comes.

I've been thinking about our cultural obsession with productivity culture, and how much we pedestal a path of struggling and suffering in business and for creatives. We praise at the altar of working hard and sacrificing as markers of success. Do we really believe we deserve what we have unless we've suffered or struggled in some way for it? What comes up for us when we think about someone having an easy ride?

Let's reimagine it together, as we explore these themes:

    • Have you ever heard yourself say, "it's so easy for them, and so hard for me"?
    • Are we allowing ourselves to have more ease when it comes to work?
    • What makes us so comfortable about the "easy ride"?
    • Why have we linked struggle to success?

This is just the beginning of the conversation. Tag me in your stories, thoughts, and shared chats about this with the folk in your life and on your screens. Send me messages with what came up for you on Instagram, where you'll find me @gisellelpm.

  • Reimagining Trust: When life lets you down, how do you believe in it again?
    Jun 1 2025

In this week's episode, we're talking about trust. I come to these episodes with no notes or preparation, armed with one word and the willingness to see what comes.

I ended up sharing my up and down relationship with trust. Starting with the traumatic events of my childhood, to my relationship with spirituality and manifesting, and the crushing desire to give up after internalising the no's, mini rejections and heartbreaks of adulthood. All the way up to, how I started trusting again (give or take a few years, mind you).

So, what do we do when life disappoints us and we don't know how to trust again? Let's reimagine it together, as we explore these themes:

    • Is it ever possible to just keep on trusting through life's messiness?
    • How linked is trust to hope and faith?
    • How do we trust in life again?
    • Is it okay to be on a rollercoaster of trusting and not trusting in life?

This is just the beginning of the conversation. Tag me in your stories, thoughts, and shared chats about this with the folk in your life and on your screens. Send me messages with what came up for you on Instagram, where you'll find me @gisellelpm.
