Stuart Cameron and Robin Purdie look back at last weekend's rugby matches in Scotland and preview this week's games in National 1. Just the five games happening due to the player welfare break for Premiership and NL2 clubs.
This gives us the opportunity to discuss how things are going in Scottish club rugby so far this season, with a particular slant on Borders Rugby - the area provides four teams in the Premiership this season, which is an incredible achievement for such a small area.
We're joined by Iain Heard, former referee and coach and former employee at Scottish Rugby, with contributions from Ewen Swinton representing the newly-formed SBDU (Scottish Borders District Union), Alan Lorimer (long-time journalist who has a particular interest in schools and youth rugby) and Neil Hinnigan, who is currently Director of Rugby at Kelso RFC.
At the end of the podcast, for listeners in the Borders area, a preview of this weekend's East League fixtures involving Borders teams.
