Lamman bio:
Born in the vibrant city of Pittsburgh, Lamman Rucker hails from a family deeply rooted in the arts—his mother was the creative force behind the Pittsburgh Black Theater Dance Ensemble, and his father set the rhythm as a talented drummer. With entertainment in his blood, Lamman’s journey in the spotlight began at a young age, landing his first acting role as Martin Luther King in the 4th grade! 🎭✨
He further honed his talents at the prestigious Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C. With a diverse educational background that includes an undergraduate degree in Information Technology and Business and a graduate degree in Education and Curriculum Development, Lamman knows how to balance brains with artistry. 📚💡
Rucker is best known for his co-starring roles in Tyler Perry films, including Why Did I Get Married? (2007) and Why Did I Get Married Too? (2010). He portrayed Will Brown in Perry's film Meet The Browns (2008) and later starred in the television series of the same name, reprising his role as Will from 2009 to 2011. In 2015, Lamman took on one of his most iconic roles as Jacob Greenleaf in the Oprah Winfrey Network drama series Greenleaf, captivating audiences for five seasons. 🌟
